Cinco Ranch on the road with a 24-22 halftime deficit against the Spartans of Seven Lakes. It would be the Spartans with the hot hand to start the third.Stan Kanu dishes out to Jacob Ranta 26-22 Spartans. Next trip down...Seven Lakes goes long distance. Working it around the horn, it finally ends up in the hot hand of King Turnbull...the trey extends the lead to 29-22. A fast start out of the gate for Seven Lakes continues as Kanu gets into the act dropping in a bucket from the paint 31-22 Spartans. Cinco Ranch looking for answers. The Cougars do battle back late in the third. Stefon Nsewo dives for the loose ball dishes to Everett Jenkins who'll put it in with a nice kiss off the glass Cougars cut into the lead 34-28. Cinco Ranch starts to heat up and it will play the long range game, too Ben Sonnefeld kicks it out to J.R. Adams he's money from behind the arc and we're down to a 3-point ball game 34-31 Spartans. Head to the 4th...and the toga party is still going strong, and the Ranch trying to spoil that party. Adams hits another trey and he's fouled, The 4-point play gives Cinco Ranch it's first lead of the second half 41-40. But the Cougars would not be able to hang on to the momentum. In the late stages Cameron McGusty looks ahead and connects with Turnbull who goes to the rack uncontested 48-43 Seven Lakes. As the Spartans go on to win a great one 52-46 the final.
