Early on, Sam Houston’s Jerrick Baines lets it fly from long distance for three for the Tigers.
Morton Ranch answers at the other end, as Cryer splashes home the three from the corner.
More Mavericks, they go inside to big Eddie Lampkin, and he muscles his way to the hoop for two. Morton Ranch leads by 7 after one.
Back come the Tigers as Shanu maneuvers along the baseline and slams it down with a two-hand jam.
Morton Ranch remains hot from outside the arc however, as Cryer knocks down three more of his 19 points on the night.
Later, it’s Westley Sellers from way downtown, and he swishes the three as well for the Mavs.
Then it’s Adrian Caldwell with the steal in the open floor and he finishes with the flush, Morton Ranch opens up a 19-point halftime lead.
