Rising Star Ogechi Okeke Dominates in Hightower's Victory Streak!

Ogechi Okeke, a promising junior at Hightower High School, has quickly become a notable player in Houston high school basketball. Originally from Sweden, Okechi moved to the U.S. to face tougher competition and has flourished, helping her team achieve 12 consecutive home victories. Her remarkable skills were on full display as she scored 20 points in the Fort Bend ISD Holiday tournament championship against North Shore. Okechi's prowess in rebounding and offense has attracted attention from top colleges like North Carolina and Duke. As Hightower now progresses into district play, they are focused on leveraging their state final experience from last season to win the state championship in 2026.
