Ridge Point Panthers vs. Wheatley Wildcats - 2013 Football - Week 11

Thursday night playoff action over at Hall Stadium as the Ridge Point Panthers host the Wildcats of Wheatley. Ridge Point taking over after a turnover by the Wildcats and they go for the quick strike as Troy Alexander connects with running back Keyshawn Ledet for a 23 yard gain down to the 2 yard line. A couple plays later, the Panthers hand the ball to touchdown machine Josh Burrell who strolls in for the TD and a 7-0 Ridge Point lead. 2nd quarter, Panthers driving again and Keyshawn Ledet gets the call this time and runs this one in from 8 yards out for another touchdown as the Panthers are now in front 14-0. After another Wildcats turnover, the Panthers make them pay. Josh Burrell, again, a 4 yard touchdown run to make it 21-0 Panthers. Then just before the half, Panther quarterback Troy Alexander connects on the short pass to Terry Petry and he will do the rest, a 34 yard touchdown as he races down the sidelines and that Panthers TD gives them a 28-0 lead, and they go on to win this one 70-12 over Wheatley. First playoff win in school history for Ridge Point.
