Ricky Seals-Jones Feature Story
Out from underneath a helmet and shoulder pads rose a star in Sealy. Every away game some kid runs up and says hey Ricky Seals Jones can I have your autograph. Sought after by college coaches across the country over a skill set few could even fathom. Ricky Seals Jones prowess as a prototypical football player made him a prize pick up for Kevin Sumlin arsenal in Aggieland back in December. Basically he’s a freak a freak of nature. He could play anything he wanted to play. That versatility isn’t just confined to the football field, but between the baskets as well. Even after Freshman he was MVP of basketball, his sophomore year he was MVP, his junior year he was MVP of basketball so that’s the type of kid he is. At small 3A schools like this you gotta do it all, I do it all a Kris Brown, Juwan Davis so we’re just considered athletes. Posting nearly 30 points and 15 boards a contest Seals-Jones game speaks for itself. Question remains how far does he plan to take the two sport commitment. It’s a lot of hard work a lot of practices, not a lot of free time so that’s what you have to think about, your body will never rest, but that’s part of being an athlete. He can take it wherever he wants to that’s the type of kid he whatever he puts his mind too he can do it he will do it that’s just the type of kid he is, I do see him playing on Sunday.
