Playoffs Week 5 - Midland Christian Mustangs vs. Katy Pope John XXIII Lions - 2013 Football Final

Moving over to TAPPS action, Katy Pope John the 23rd was facing Midland Christian in the Division II state championship in Corsicana. It sets up the Lions for this Grayson Secades to Cameron Wilson touchdown pass, Secades would also add a score on the ground as Pope John the 23rd cut the lead to 7 at halftime. Late 3rd Moore would take the pitch and find the endzone, but a missed conversion left Pope John the 23rd down 1, 21-20. The Lions would get no closer, McClendon steps up and hits McLane Mannis for the 22 yard touchdown pass as time expires in the 3rd quarter and Midland Christian holds on for its 3rd straight state championship. 28-20 the final.
