Calhoun tried to get things going and this will help Cory Williams straight up the middle and he's going to try to win a foot race the Cubs defense will end up catching him but Williams goes 89 yds which sets up an easy TD cutting the score to 14-7. 2nd Quarter Caleb Hill lets it fly from the 34 and James Homan with a great catch along the sideline at the 2 yard line, good for a 32 yd pickup. On the next play Earnest Patterson would finish off the drive on the ground to make it 21-7 Cubs. It's now 21-14 late in the half when Brenham's defense causes the fumble in the backfield the ball is knocked around before it's picked up by Bradon Baird who scoops & scores 28-14 Cubs. And look at this on the very next Sandcrab possession with just a minute left in the half on a bad pitch the Cubs get another huge break. This time it's Desmond Lockett getting an easy six, 35-14 Brenham at the half. 3rd Quarter, Brenham at the 15 Earnest Patterson far sideline & he flies in for the td 42-14.
