Playoffs Week 2 - Katy Tigers vs. Memorial Mustangs - 2014 Football

After a 73-7 win over Westside in the first round did Katy coach Gary Joseph and his troops have anything left for Memorial? Katy driving in the first but Garrett Doiron is picked off by Memorial’s Tyler Dore ending the Tigers threat, it was a nice return but the Mustangs faithful wouldn’t have much to cheer about for a long time after that. Katy got the ball back and Rodney Anderson goes to work scoring on a 10 yard touchdown to make it 7-0 Tigers. Still in the first, Rodney Anderson busts up the middle and breaks loose for a 50 yard touchdown run. It was 17-0 Katy as Anderson was on his way to a 225 yard and 3 touchdown performance on just 14 carries. The Katy defense was just as dominant, in the 2nd Qtr. Sy Slater with the pick 6 as he takes the interception return 26 yards and it was 31-0 Katy before Memorial had even made a first down. Right before the end of the 1st half Garrett Doiron gets it done through the air, the 18 yard Touchdown Pass to Tony Mullins, it was 41-0 at halftime and the Tigers obliterate the Mustangs 76-14.
