Bob Gillis is in his 16th season as the El Campo head coach and had his Ricebirds ready for Furr elsewhere in 4A Division I region 3 action. 1st quarter El Campo’s DJ Washington short touchdown on the keeper for an early 7-0 lead. Furr’s JaMarcus Bailey swings it over to Keondre Osborne, but Jarrin Henderson knocks it loose and Clayton Harp is right there for the scoop and the score, 14 -0 El Campo, and the Clayton Harp fan club goes wild! Still in the 1st, 230 pound Kevin Dove pounds in like a freight train for a short TD run 21-0 El Campo. Speaking of locomotives check out the El Campo Spirit horn. 2nd quarter Washington hits Adrian Alameda for the quick touchdown strike, it was 28-0 at that point and the Ricebirds storm into the 2nd round 49-6.
