Pearland Oilers vs. Houston Lamar Redskins - 2013 Football - 5A Divsion I Region III Semifinal

Pearland was facing Lamar in the 5A Division I Region 3 semis without starting qb Kalen Johnson who was injured. Backup Connor Heath son of Head coach Tony Heath got the start. 1st quarter, Lamar's Darrell Colbert feels the pressure and takes off, the 10 yard keeper puts Lamar up 7-0. (Nat Sound Full) Lamar OL Steven Whitfield saying "we're gonna be in the endzone all day!" Pearland finally gets things going in the 2nd quarter when Heath connects on a 25 yard TD to Carter Jefferson to tie things at 7. Late 2nd Hayden Cole pounds his way in and Pearland goes into the break up14-7. The 3rd quarter saw Lamar trying to regain the momentum, but the Oilers defense forced Colbert into 3 interceptions on the day. One of which was this great play on the ball by Caleb Farris. 4th quarter, 3 seconds left Pearland was still up a touchdown, Lamar down to its last chance, but Colbert's Hail Mary falls incomplete and Pearland celebrates the win.
