Pearland gets out to a quick start, Jordan Maxwell nails the 3 and the Oilers lead by 5 early.
But Dawson storms back, Conlie Christmas uses the glass and Santa gives him two points for that one.
Then Matthew Criswell caps a 12-0 Dawson run with the three-ball, Eagles up by four after one.
The Oilers battle back in the second, Ty Williams finishes the fast break with the layin, and Pearland leads by six at halftime.
Pearland’s lead grows to double-digits in the third as DJ Ardoin sinks the corner three for the Oilers.
But Dawson rallies back, AJ Richard pulls up from well beyond the arc, he buries it and it’s all tied at 37 heading to the fourth.
Oilers take control in the 4th, D’antre (Don-tray) Boudreaux connects from long distance for three.
Then Maxwell drives down main street and finishes with the finger roll for the bucket.
Later, it’s Boudreaux inside for two more of his team-high 13 points, and Pearland pulls away for a 54-47 win over Pearland Dawson.
