The 19th ranked Shadow Creek Sharks started district play with a home game against Pearland. First quarter, the Oilers' Jujian (Jew-gee-in) Valentine tries the 3, but Kaden Tate says "No Sir!!!" and takes it the other way for a stuff which would win Shadow Creek our Defensive Title Belt. Meanwhile, Sharks junior Mike Collins started launching 3's from deep.....and even deeper....those are NBA Range, my friend. 19-6 Shadow Creek. Second quarter, Pearland's Byron Bibbs goes baseline and drops the thunder dunk on Shadow Creek. Then Valentine drops a 3 ball from the right side and the Oilers are back within 1. The Sharks would extend the lead to 10 at the half thanks to who else, but Mike Collins....another 3 pointer. 42-32 Shadow Creek Valentine would give Pearland some life in the second half with more from behind the arc But Collins was too much. He finished the game with 39 points including a couple strong drives to the hole. Shadow Creek pulls off the victory, 70-59.
