North Shore Mustangs vs. Plano West Wolves - Boys Basketball 2013-14 - 12/14/13

Houston's preseason #1 North Shore took on Dallas' preseason #1 Plano West in the finals of the Cypress Hoops Invitational, one of the premier early tournaments in the state. North Shore was all over Plano West early, Jarrey Foster was getting it done on both sides of the floor, the block then he takes the pass from Brandon Green and finishes the fast break. Jarrey Foster with a quick first step, blows past the d for the bucket, giving North Shore a 10 point lead. Foster with the long rebound, he gets it up ahead to Jalin Hart and North Shore was cruising, the Mustangs would be up by as much as 14 late in the 3rd. But Plano West would mount a comeback, Avery Johnson Jr. Yeah that Avery Johnson gets loose in the lane and Plano West cuts it to 2 with just over 5 minutes to go. PW DJ Hogg hit 2 clutch 3's down the stretch, the second of which ties things at 55 with under a minute left and it was off to overtime. Final seconds Plano West down one Johnson looks to dish, but it's intercepted by Brandon Green and he gets it ahead to Kerwin Roach for the final blow. North Shore wins 62-58
