Navasota High School Girl's Basketball - Chevy Spotlight

If the old saying, 'defense wins championships' is of any indication then the Navasota Lady Rattlers could be well on their way to capturing a 4-A state basketball title. The Lady Rattlers finished the regular season a prefect 36-0 and are through the first two rounds of the playoffs thanks in large part to their defense which gives up only 26 points a game. Last year, Navasota's season came to an end in the regional semi-finals, leaving a sour taste in everyone's mouth. Coach Gates says this Lady Rattlers team is the most unselfish one he has coached at Navasota and could be the key to their success. These Lady Rattlers know they will continue to have a target on their backs as the undefeated favorite, but they welcome the challenge every time they step on the court.
