Mayde Creek vs Cy Creek - 2019 Texas High School Football Playoffs Week 2 Highlights
Moving over to Pridgeon Stadium now, Cy Creek meets Mayde Creek…
Cy Creek strikes first, Julian Uwadia (Ooh-wah-dee-uh) finds a wide open Cogan DeRouselle for an easy 25-yard touchdown toss, Cougars grab a 7-0 lead.
That connection worked so well the first time, why not try it again. DeRouselle blows past his defender and Uwadia hits him in stride, it’s a 72-yard scoring strike, and Cy Creek leads 14-0 after one.
In the 2nd, Uwadia dumps it off for Korey Celestine, and Celestine takes care of the rest. He goes 9 yards for another Cougars touchdown, Cy Creek up 21-0.
Later, it’s Uwadia airing it out deep for Legend Grigsby, the defender gets a hand on it and deflects the pass, but what a job by The Legend to haul it in anyway, and he takes it all the way for a 60 yard touchdown, Uwadia’s fourth of the night, Cougars on top 28-0.
Mayde Creek finally gets on the board as Julius Loughridge (Lo-Ridge) bounces it outside and takes it in for a 2 yard score, Rams trail 28-7 at intermission.
It’s all Cougars in this one, Eddie Jimerson trots in from 2 yards out, and Cy Creek is headed back to the third round, with a 35-14 win over Mayde Creek. The Cougars will get Strake Jesuit next weekend.
