Manvel Mavericks vs. Travis Tigers 2013-14 Boys Basketball - 02/21/14

Travis, the defending state champions were taking on Manvel. 1st quarter, Travis' Juwan Williams slams it home, and the Tigers were up 15-11. Travis pads the lead in the 2nd when Clinton Stephens knocks down the jumper, 20-13 Tigers. Future Creighton Blue Jay Leon Gilmore with the bucket for Manvel, but Manvel was down 10 at halftime. The Mavs continue to chip away in the third, the Dexter Williams 3 cuts the lead to 38-35. Hakeem Butler delivers on the Alley Oop as Travis clung to a 1 point lead going into the 4th. Manvel breaks through Kelton Houston puts Manvel up 2 with a minute and a half to play, the Mavericks would get the lead up to 5 before Travis' Tyrone Jordan hits the 3 with 30 seconds left, but it was enough for the Tigers as Manvel celebrates a 61-59 victory and a trip to the 3rd round.
