Manvel Mavericks vs. Cy Woods Wildcats - 2013-14 Girls Basketball - 02/22/14

Manvel had already beaten Cy Woods twice this season, but the Wildcats 6-8 super sophomore Nancy Mulkey didn't play in either game. Manvel got off to a great start, thanks to super senior Brianna Turner who hits the jumper. She's not the only blue chipper in the arsenal, future Minnesota Golden Gopher Rangie Bessard with the rainbow 3. Then Turner all the way, it was part of a 15-3 start for Manvel. Cy Woods starts to get cranked up, Erica Ogwumike hits the 3. Then Erica Ogwumike again with the 3. Just a 6 point game as the momentum seemed to have shifted. But Turner scores again, Manvel led by as much as 17 in the first half, and it was 37-24 Mavs at the break. Second half. Manvel junior Jordan Hosey will be wearing burnt orange in college, but she wants to play on her future homecourt much sooner like next week. Brianna Turner scores again and gets fouled, Turner with 16 and the Lady Mavs celebrate the regional title thanks to the 58-42 victory. We have a saying unfinished business at the beginning of the year and when the playoffs started it was On a Mission. So we have 2 OAM which is two more games on a mission. This road has not been easy we've had highs and lows I mean it hasn't been the perfect season by far, we've worked really hard and we've made it.
