Manvel High School Signing Day - Chevy Spotlight
Year after year the Manvel Mavericks produce talented football players that go on to the next level and this year was no exception; as 11 members of the 2016 class signed to F-B-S schools. Two Mavericks decided to stay in town as dual-threat quarterback D'Eriq King and Defensive End Hasaun Glasgow signed with the Houston Cougars. Also from the Mavericks stellar offense, running back D'Vaughn Pennamon is headed out to Mississippi to play for the Rebels and wide receiver Reggie Hemphill will be heading over to Austin to play for Charlie Strong's Texas Longhorns. Defensively along with Glasgow, Jordan Carmouche signed with S-M-U and Brandon Bell pledged his loyalty to New Mexico State, but surprise of them all came from Deontay Anderson. The safety released a video of himself sky diving to make his decision just minutes before the ceremony. It's safe to say Anderson has now set the bar high for a signing day announcement. Congratulations to all the signees from Manvel High School and best of luck at the next level.
