5th ranked Manvel finally getting their season started at Crosby last night.
1 minute into the game, the Mavericks are on the board. That's Ty Harris with the easy 10 yard score and Manvel up 7-0
Cougars get on the board on the next possession. Reggie Branch finds E Monte Wilson with the 30 yard score. Extra point no good, 7-6 Manvel leads.
2nd quarter, Mavericks up 21-6, Gabriel Larry puts one up to Jalen Walthal who catches it and is in the end zone for a 40 yard score. Mavericks led 31-14 at half.
They pour it on in the second half, here's Harris again for the short 4 yard touchdown to make it 39-21.
Then after the Cougars fail on 4th down, Kyler Williams in at quarterback...he tries his luck with Walthal in the middle of the field. The senior makes the catch, shakes off the attempted facemask tackle and goes 74 yards for the touchdown as Manvel wins this one 53-20.
