Early on Livingston quarterback Damian Ruiz having to scramble to buy some time, finally finds Julian Gardner open at the 15 yard line...He survives a couple of hits and gets it to the 1 yard line, the Lions would punch it in from there for a 7-0 lead...
Orangefield rallies through the air, Gunner Jones to Dwight Davis, he too is tripped up at the one yard line to set up a short touchdown as they take a 14-7 lead at halftime. The 2nd half would come down to defense...Livingston up 21-20 late in the 4th and Orangefield elects to go for 2 - but the Lions defense is equal to the task, senior linebacker Colin Hurt meets Gunner Jones in the backfield and he's swarmed under by the rest of the defense, a great goal line stand as Livingston hangs on for their first win of the year, They win it by a final of 21-20!
