La Marque Cougars vs. Lamar Consolidated Mustangs - 2013 Football - Week 3

The two schools were lucky to be indoors given all the rain in the area, the Lamar Consolidated mascot was certainly happy about it. Lamar Consolidate gets on the board first when Scott Nohavitza sneaks in from the one and 7-0 Mustangs lead. Back comes La Marque, Ladarrion Ellis Jones rolls out and finds Demtrius Jones for a nice pick up down inside the 20. Then Dalion Richards with a 5 yard touchdown to make cut the deficit to 1 7-6. Just before the half, La Darrion Ellis Jones with a rainbow to Mike Hardeman and Hardeman hauls it in for a 20 yard touchdown reception. 14-7 Coogs after the two point conversion and that's what it would be at halftime. 2nd half, the Cougars turn up the defense, Kenneth Edward pops Darius Turner in the backfield for a loss. Then Justin Britton chases down and sacks Scott Nohavitza for a big loss. The Cougars Clamping down. The Mustangs were trying to rally in the 4th, but the La Marque defense is all over the screen pass. The Cougars prevail 14-7 the final.
