La Marque Cougars vs. Galveston Ball Tornados - 2014 Football - Week 1

La Marque took on Galveston Ball with a new quarterback in Jalen Williams who came over from Bellaire. Scoreless after one, when wham Jalen Williams goes deep to Demetrius James down to the 14. Alan Cooper shows his speed and gets the corner and the Cougars go up 6-0. Ball answers, Rodnick Artemore gets block and he will find pay dirt. It’s an 11 yard td run to tie the game at 6 at the break. 3rd quarter, La Marque in the red zone, Jalen Williams looks like he is going to score, but gets leveled at the goal line. The cougars going for it on 4th down, but the Ball defense comes up big again, Deshawn Wilson with the sack and the game was still tied at 6 after 3. La Marque gets pressure on Ball quarterback Jacob Simon, Kenneth Edwards with the big hit and the sack. 4th quarter, the Cougars defense comes up with the big play, Gerald Johnson with the hit, the ball comes loose and then Kris Laws will recover it. Then Jalen Williams rolls out and lofts it for Ladarrian Ellis-Jones and he makes great catch, and that’s the game winner. La Marque wins the “battle of the causeway” 12-6
