Kinkaid Falcons vs. St John's Mavericks 2013-14 Boys Basketball - 01/24/14

It was Falcon Fanatic night as Kinkaid hosted St. John's in a big SPC matchup in a packed house with fans from both teams representing. Maverick's J.T. Trauber with the 3, St. John's with the early 8-7 lead. Justise Winslow drives through traffic and goes up and misses the big jam, but Risher Randall gets the rebound gets it back to Winslow and this time he finishes it with the jam! St John's up by 3. Kinkaid answers, Jeff Roberson with the fall away jumper, he has offers from Harvard and Rice. Winslow is headed to Duke, and he answers with a 3 pointer and the St John's fans are into it. 2nd quarter, Winslow drives and throws it down at the buzzer. Mavericks up 17-15 after one. Winslow led all scorers with 28. Second quarter Jeff Roberson wows the crowd with a big dunk of his own, the Falcons go back on top and led it 32-28 at the half. Second half, Kinkaid heats up, Jeff Roberson hits the long 3, they go up by 10 40-30. Roberson had 18 on the night. Josh Armstrong hits the 3 and the Falcon fans are feeling it. Kinkaid by 13. Then it's Armstrong with another 3 and falcons built a 20 point 4th quarter lead. Tempers flared late, but that's the way it goes in this rivalry. Kinkaid wins it 76-50. All 5 Falcons starters scored in double figures.
