Kinkaid Baseball - Chevy Spotlight

"A Winning Culture…..a lot of high school programs preach it, but only a few really buy in like the Kinkaid high school baseball team has. They’ve played in 8 out of the last 9 S-P-C championship games. And they’ve tallied 9 state titles including 2019, the last time a state championship game was played. The Falcons are synonymous with winning and it starts from leadership, but not just from the coaches.

The Falcons have been graduating top notch ball players for a while now. 18 Kinkaid baseball players have gotten chances to play in college over the past 5 years. That includes 6, so far, on this year’s team. T-C-U bound Chase Pelter and Rice commit, David Shaw, sure up one of the best pitching staffs around and they both bring something a little different to the table.

Only a few games in and you can already see this Kinkaid team will be difficult to beat. They beat Dickinson, a team they’ve never beaten, 8-5 and then took down Strake Jesuit, a Houston baseball power, 7-4. Early success like that definitely breeds confidence.

The early wins and top notch talent also brings out the best in their opponents. Which is good, because defeating the best in the area only solidifies the Falcon legacy."
