Katy Tompkins vs Fort Bend Travis - Game Of The Week

Katy Tompkins and Fort Bend Travis are both fired up and ready to kick off the postseason...

Travis opens the scoring as Kalen Shankle takes the handoff around the left side, 10 yards for the score, 7-0 Tigers.

Back comes Tompkins, Marquis Shoulders gets the carry and turns it upfield, what a move to make a man miss, and he’s off to the races. Shoulders takes it 55 yards for a Falcons touchdown to even the game up at 7-apiece.

In the 2nd, Eric Rodriguez punches it in from a yard out for a Travis touchdown, Tigers up 14-7.

That’s when the Falcons offense starts to really take flight. Jalen Milroe sets up the screen for Garrett Mack, and he has enough room to run that he could drive a Mack truck. It’s a 28-yard touchdown that ties it at 14.

Later, it’s Milroe on the play-action, he has plenty of time to launch it deep downfield for Conner Kinslow, perfect pitch and catch for a 46 yard score, Tompkins leads 21-14 at halftime.

In the third, Milroe tosses the screen pass to Shoulders, nice move to avoid a defender, and Shoulders takes it 35 yards to the house, Falcons up 28-14.

Then in the 4th, Milroe fires deep for Anthony Munoz, huge gain for the Falcons down to the one yard line. Milroe scampers in from there, four total touchdowns for the Longhorns commit, and Katy Tompkins advances with a 35-28 win over Fort Bend Travis. The Falcons draw Cy Falls in the next round.
