Katy Tigers vs. Kingwood Mustangs - 2014 Football - Week 1

The Tigers always creative with the signs took the field looking for a great start to their drive for an 8th title. But the mustangs wanted to notch a historic victory of their own in front if their home crowd. This was a sloppy game early Katy's Rodney Anderson turns it over twice in the 1st quarter, but Kingwood had their own turnover problems 5 total in the first half. Finally, the tigers get going, Garrett Doiron finds Tony Mullins for a 19 yd touchdown strike to give Katy a 7-0 lead. Tigers defense was stifling tonight, constantly in the Mustang backfield, especially Cory Bethley who had 3 sacks in the 1st half. 2nd quarter, Anderson fields the punt and he is gone, down the sideline avoids tacklers, and takes it to the house to make it 17-0 Tigers. Then after another 3 and out, it's Anderson with a 6 yard score it was 24-0 at the half. Katy wins 31-0
