OU commit Rodney Anderson was ready for action as Katy faced Katy Taylor. In the First-quarter, Rodney Anderson rips off a 57 yard touchdown run and it’s 8-0 Katy. Anderson had 181 yards and 3 scores in the first half. On the first play of the 2nd quarter, Anderson's back field mate Kyle Porter with a 56 yard touchdown run 16-0 Tigers. Katy’s defense was absolutely stifling, Cory Bethley steps up for the sack, Katy forced Taylor into five 3 and outs in the first half. The passing game was working well for Katy as well, Garrett Doiron over to Tony Mullins who makes one guy miss then gets a big block from Porter to get into the endzone and it’s 23-0 Tigers. More Tigers defense, JoVanni Stewart gets into the Mustangs backfield and comes up with a huge sack as he slings Brett Vinzant to the ground for a 19 yard loss. The Mustangs managed just 1 yard in the first half as the damage was done, Katy cruises 50-7.
