Later first, Josh Johnson looking to make a play for the Mavericks, but no one is open and Josh Davis knocks the ball loose......Griffin Simonton is johnny on the spot with the scoop and score as Tompkins takes a 14-0 lead after 1.
Second quarter, Young again on the read option and I count 4 missed tackles on the way to a 45 yard touchdown. The only thing the Mavs brought to the ground was Young's towel as he crossed the goal line. 21-0 Falcons.
After a Morton Ranch fumble, Young decides to actually hand the ball off this time and Kaleb Komolafe makes some nice moves en route to a 26 yard touchdown and a 28-0 Tompkins halftime lead.
The Mavericks were down 34-0 when they finally get on the board. Santana Scott goes up the middle for a 7 yard touchdown.
4th quarter, Caleb Blocker puts the Maverick defender in the spin cycle as he gets loose for an 11 yard score.
And then, to put this one away, Matthew Ogunrin fields this kickoff at the 26, takes off to his right, sees an opening up the middle and HE GONE!!!! 74 yard kickoff return for 6. Katy Tompkins with the dominating 55-21 victory over Morton Ranch.
