Huntsville High School Boy's Soccer - Chevy Spotlight

01/01/16

When Robert Taylor took over as head coach of the Huntsville boys’ soccer team nine seasons ago, he knew the potential was there, but pulling it all together was the challenge. The success is evident as the Hornets have won the district title three of the last four years and been in the playoffs six straight seasons. The players attribute it all to their head coach. Unlike many programs across the state, finding the opportunity to play club soccer year round to improve their skills has been a big obstacle for many of the Hornet players. But several of the players on this year’s squad have been playing together since junior high, allowing them to build an unmatched chemistry. Coach Taylor knows this group of young talent has the potential to be one of the best squads he has ever had in Huntsville and he wouldn't be surprised to see most of them playing at the next level. Congratulations to the Huntsville Hornet soccer team for being this week's Chevy Spotlight.
