Both of these teams entering this one with high hopes, but like many teams across the state, opening night jitters were an issue. After a scoreless 1st quarter, 2nd Baptist gets on the board as Everett Skillern calls his own number - the Kincaid defense bites on the fake and he's off to the races, 35 yards to the house for a 7-0 lead.
The 2nd Baptist offense would settle down too reaching into their back of tricks, responding with a little trickeration - the halfback pass from Ben (Luh-veen) to Jace (Trah-zoe), and the freshman houses it to tie it at 7.
Kincaid would retake the lead as sophomore QB David Cappo-bee-on-coe throws a dart to Alex Got-see-gun, he slips out of one tackle and tightropes his way down the sideline, he's got one man to beat but he's tripped up just short of the goal-line what an effort. The Falcons punch it in on the next play to make it 14-7.
Kincaid would put this one away in the 4th quarter with Luh-veen operating out of the wildcat formation, he gets some great blocking and no one's going to catch him. This one covers half the field and the Falcons hold on for a 21-14 win over 2nd Baptist!
