This showdown, one both of these teams have been looking forward to all week but no opening jitters for Heights as they get off to a quick start...
Opening possession of the game, working out of the shotgun, Heights QB Jaylen Morrison goes deep to Jacoby Terry, he hits him in stride behind the Eagle Defense for a 70 yard touchdown and just like that it's 6-0.
After a Dawson field goal the Eagle defense steps up as Morrison looking over the middle but this time he's picked off - Jayden Walker with the INT makes a nice move and rides the rail down the sideline - its a pick 6 as he houses it as they take a 10-6 lead and that fires up the home fans...
In the 2nd quarter the offense adds to that margin with a short td plunge from Byrce Burgess and the Eagles have all the momentum.
Later its Burgess again, this time from a little further out...
From his own 23 yard line he makes a couple of nice moves and its a footrace to the edge as he tightropes his way down the sidelines, going the distance 77 yards to make it 24-6 Dawson, #5 putting on a show and a night he'll never forget!
Dawson Quarterback Collin Johnson would put a nice bow on this one with a 28 yard strike to Ryan Guillo to provide the final margin of victory. Pearland Dawson defends the home turf in convincing fashion with a 58-19 win over Heights.
