Hakeem Olajuwon's Sons Play at Undefeated Fort Bend Clements
All of Sugarland is a buzz over the Fort Bend Clements boys basketball team. (nats) The fast paced Rangers squad have played 29 games and won them all. Most pre season publications had Clements as a solid playoff team, but no one thought of them as a state title contender…..until now. All of Fort Bend has taken notice of the remarkable season these Rangers have put together. But one particular fan has a more vested interest than most. That would be 2 time NBA champion and Hall of Famer, Hakeem Olajuwon. You see, the Dream, has 2 sons who play at Clements….Aziz and Rahman. And every time they take the court, you best believe Hakeem is right there in the stands cheering them on Aziz Olajuwon is a sophomore who transformed his game from a “3 and D” guy to an all around contributor on both ends of the court. Rahman (Rock-man) has battled a stress factor and broken finger, but is now back on the court as he is one of the best passers on the Ranger team. The two of them have done well in paving their own path on the hardwood and not being smothered by the legend of their hall of fame father And it’s not just his sons that like have Hakeem around. The whole Rangers team has benefitted from The Dream’s mere presence at their games and practices. It’s a tall order to expect either of Hakeem’s sons to have an 18 year career and become one of the NBA’s 50 greatest players, but with Olajuwon, all he asks of them is to work hard and be confident in themselves Subscribe to Houston Inside High School Sports to stay up to date on everything high school sports related in the Greater Houston Area!
