George Ranch Longhorns vs. Pearland Dawson Eagles - 2014 Football - Week 1
The George Ranch Longhorns facing the Dawson Eagles at the Rig in Pearland and the Eagles go to the air on their first play of the game and the pass by quarterback Vance Galloway is intercepted by Shola Ayinde to put the Longhorns on offense. They would capitalize on that turnover as quarterback Timon Nolan takes it to the endzone on fourth and goal from the 6 yard line to make it 7-0 George Ranch. Eagles have to punt from their own endzone and Xavien Marks is back to receive for the Longhorns and he reverses field and finds a wall of blockers and takes this one to the house from 55 yards out for the touchdown and the Horns are now on top 14-0. Now a 14-3 game and Dawson finally gets their offense in gear as quarterback Vance Galloway scrambles 17 yards down the the 3 yard line where it's first and goal Eagles. The very next play they would punch it in as Savion Johnson gets the touchdown to make it a 14-10 game. Second half the Longhorns give the ball to their playmaker once again, it's Xavien Marks with a 46 yard touchdown run as George Ranch takes a 21-10 lead. Dawson once again relies on their quarterback Vance Galloway to get them close to the goal line as he takes it down to the 1 yard line. And a few plays later it's Brett Winnegan breaking the plane of the goal line for another Eagles touchdown to make it a 21-17 game, but the Longhorns hold on to win this one 35-17.
