Galveston Ball - Chevy Team of the Week - 2013

Texas City in a dogfight at home against Galveston Ball. Fourth quarter, the Tors turn a 4 point deficit into a 4 point lead as Kevin Baptiste lobs it down low to Tolen Avery who gets the bounce and the bucket. Mark Turner hanging out in the corner and he will knock down this three pointer to extend Galveston Ball's lead. Texas City down 2 late in the fourth and Carter Hardy could give them the lead with this three, but it doesn't fall. The Stingarees bang the board hard and Murquell Smith is there for the huge tip in which ties the game and sends it to overtime. Tied again in the first OT and Carter Hardy going for the win, but that 3 draws iron and we are headed to a second OT. Ball comes out on fire and would not be denied. Kevin Baptiste finishes the fast break with theis easy layup as Galveston Ball wins a big one on the road 69-65 over Texas City. And for that they are this week's Chevrolet Team of the Week. Sounds of cheering, every little thing is important and I told y'all that's a team win a team win. I'm so proud of the kids because of the fight they had in them a lot of opportunities to get in a hole tonight, they started sluggish we finished sluggish at times, but they just kept fighting and I'm so proud of them coming here and beating a great team like Texas City.
