Moving down to Class 5A, a battle of unbeatens as Friendswood and Shadow Creek are both 6-0 heading into this one…
In the first, nice draw play by Shadow Creek as Kelvon Brown gets the carry and he has plenty of open field in front of him, it’s a 34-yard touchdown run, Sharks lead 6-0.
Later in the first, Shadow Creek goes to the air as Kyron Drones connects with CJ Guidry, Guidry slips out of a tackle and he’s off to the races, Guidry takes it all the way, 64 yards for a Shadow Creek score and it’s 13-0.
The Sharks offense smells blood in the water. Drones looking downfield and finds Jahkin(Jah, like Ahh, kin) Middleton, he hits him in stride and Middleton turns on the jets and takes it the distance, 63 yards for the score, Shadow Creek up 20-0 after one.
More Sharks in the 2nd, Drones swings it out to Randy Masters, and you might need a PH.D. to figure out how to slow down this offense, it’s a 16-yard score, Sharks lead 27-0 at halftime.
In the third, check out this run by Brown. He manages to stay on his feet and eventually breaks free into the open field, it’s a 44-yard score, and Shadow Creek shows why it’s ranked 2nd in the state, Sharks win it 51-6 over previously unbeaten Friendswood.
