Friendswood vs Foster - 2019 Week 7 Game of the Week

Foster and Friendswood both fired up for our Game of the Week.

Friendswood already up 3-0 in the first when Luke Grden connects with Noah Palitz for a 10 yard touchdown pass, Mustangs race out to a quick 10-0 lead.

Foster answers in the 2nd, as Ryan Stubblefield has all day to throw, he rolls out and finds Carter Wilson, it’s an 8 yard TD toss that pulls the Falcons within 3 at 10-7.

Friendswood responds, as Grden hits John McCabe over the middle, and McCabe breaks free of his defender, and he’s off to the races for a 66 yard score, it’s 17-7 Friendswood.

The Falcons go back to the air, as Stubblefield fires into the end zone for Cody Jackson, it’s a 26yard scoring strike, to make it a 17-13 game.

More Foster, Stubblefield throws his third touchdown of the 2nd quarter, this one a 10-yarder to Sean Kelly, and Foster leads 20-17 at halftime.

It’s tied at 20 in third, when Stubblefield connects with Jackson one more time, Jackson slips out of a tackle for a 36 yard touchdown, Foster up 26-20.

Friendswood not going away. Grden remains calm in the pocket and hits Christian Lee in the end zone, it’s a 12 yard touchdown, Mustangs on top 27-26.

Grden and the Mustangs not done. He throws his fourth touchdown pass of the night, this one to Matthew Reyes to give Friendswood a 34-26 lead.

In the fourth, Foster’s Isaac Johnson fights his way across the goalline for a one yard score, but the 2 point attempt fails, and Friendswood still leads 34-32.

Same score, final seconds, Foster’s Bryson Harrell with a 33 yard field goal attempt for the win, but it’s off the mark, and Friendswood remains unbeaten with a thrilling 34-32 win over Foster!
