Fort Bend Hightower vs Shadow Creek is the Game of the Week in Houston High School Boys Basketball

A sellout crowd on hand at the Shark Tank, including Shadow Creek’s state champion football team and NBA star James Harden.

The pace in this one not for the faint of heart, Ramon Walker with the block from behind for Shadow Creek, and the Sharks push it ahead to Shawn Jones for the layup.

Hightower responds with some defense as well, Chris Harris with the steal and he heads the other way, basket and the foul for the three point play.

Then Hightower’s star sophomore starts to heat up, as Bryce Griggs nails the long three for the Hurricanes.

Later, it’s Kristopher O’Neal with the steal for Hightower and he wants to run. He eventually kicks it out to Jacory Chatman in the corner for three.

The Sharks can play some defense too, Rodney Byrd with the steal, he gets it to Ramon Walker, and look out, Walker skies for the big one-hand slam. Sharks up 3 after one.

In the 2nd, Jones spots up in the corner for 3 more of his 20 points on the night.

The Sharks continue their frenetic pace Zy Morite dishes to Walker for another corner 3, he scores 18 and Shadow Creek leads by 8 at halftime.

More Sharks in the third, Jones with the big block and that starts the fast break, Will Young lays it in for two of his team-high 21 points.

Canes not going away, Griggs with the nice move to drive for two, he leads all scorers with 34 points.

But the Sharks smell blood in the water, again in transition, they get it to Jones for the easy layin for two.

And then it’s Young on the run, and he attacks the basket for two more, and #2 Shadow Creek beats 3rd-ranked Hightower, 86-74 is the final.
