Big 10-5A Division 1 matchup between #3 Manvel and Fort Bend Hightower.
2nd quarter of a scoreless game and Demonte Seymour gets the Mavericks on the board with this nice 12 yard run to the end zone. Manvel led 9-3 at halftime.
But the Hurricanes came out in the second half on fire. Kendron Penson drops the screen off to Jeremy Payne and Payne picks up some blocks and scurries 60 yards down the field to the 6 yard line.
Next play, Penson fakes the handoff and bootlegs to the pilon where he dives in to cut the Manvel lead to 12-10.
While the Hightower defense continues to shut down the Mavericks, the offense strikes again. Penson to Caleb Douglas for a 5 yard touchdown pass. The Hurricanes pull off the big upset beating Manvel 16-12.
