Some good sportsmanship on display as Dulles and Fort Bend Austin kicked off the district 23-5A campaign. It was a defensive struggle early on, Dulles' Peyton Thorne and Miftau Oladipo team up to bring down 11. Austin returns the favor as 44 flushes Rueben Mohammed out of the pocket and lassos him for a loss. No score in the 2nd, Austin facing a 4th and inches from the 12 when Vic Enewere slams past the goal line for a 7-0 lead. Austin was looking to extend its lead near midfield, but Oladipo knocks it loose and John Alvarez scoops it up and stays on his feed for a 43 yard touchdown return. The Viking coaching staff is pumped and things are tied @ 7. Late 2nd Austin responds, Jackson Steele finds Bryson Ogilve open and Ogilve shakes off the tackles and runs it in for a 60 yard touchdown which puts the Bulldogs ahead 14-7 at the half. Fort Bend Austin takes it 42-20.
