FB Hightower at Angleton - 2020 Week 10 Highlights
Over 100 points scored at Angleton last night as the Wildcats hosted Fort Bend Hightower
We pick it up late first quarter, Hurricanes up 14-7 and driving, but the quarterback-running back exchange is muffed and the ball is on the ground....where is it? No one can find it....except for Angleton's Sean Blanks who picks it up and goes 62 yards the other way to tie the score at 14 after 1.
2nd quarter, Hightower quarterback and UTEP commit Jakolby Longino (Lon-geno) avoids the blitz and takes off. Once he gets to the sidelines he turns it up and it's smooth sailing for the 29 yard score. 20-17 Hurricanes.
Last play of the first half, Longino looking for one more score. He steps up and hits Kelton Ross racing across the middle of the field. Ross has to score as time has run out....and he gets to the pylon for 6. Hurricanes up 41-24 at the half.
Wildcats kept scoring as well. Kheri Humphrey gets the rock and he has his sights set on a house call. That's a 46 yard touchdown run. Angleton still trailed 48-31.
Hightower just kept lighting up the scoreboard, Logino looks right to help free up Latrell Neville on the left and the Nebraska commit is open for the 30 yard touchdown. Hightower offense was on point last night as they win it 65-45 setting up a huge district matchup with Manvel next week.
