Episcopal Knights vs. St. Johns Mavericks - 2013 Basketball - Week 2

A huge private school matchup over in Bellaire as top ranked Episcopal tangled with 4th ranked St. Johns in front of a packed house that included the Texans Connor Barwin. The visitors from River Oaks jumped out to an early lead as Josh Hanson grabs the rebound and puts it in. 17-12 2nd qtr, St. John's still in control. Justise Winslow misses, but gets his own rebound in the middle of all 5 Episcopal players and puts it back 26-20. Right before the end of the half, Ken Williams steps up from the top of the key and hits the three pointer. St. Johns goes into the break holding on to a 3 point lead. Justice Winslow with a strong move or should I say moves as St. John's gets out of the gate in the third. Winslow led everyone with 29 points on the night. Coach Wayne Jones with some words of inspiration for the Knights Cameron Williams drives and misses but Brandon Williams is there to clean things up with the Jam! Game tied @ 37 after 3 Episcopal pushing the tempo, Midway thru the 4th Ken Williams dishes to Cameron Williams for the finish 49-43 Cameron Williams drives in and feeds Brandon Williams, great move to go up 8 59-51 with a minute to play and Episcopal pulls away 65-55.
