Episcopal vs. Houston Christian Episcopal’s 6-5 290 pound Marvin Wilson was ready for Houston Christian in the SPC regular season finale. Keep an eye on Wilson he’s just a sophomore, but he has a nose for the ball. 1st quarter, Episcopal’s Preston Heard buys some time and he finds another sensational sophomore in Jhamon Ausbon on the reception. The play set up Episcopal’s 1st touchdown to make it 8-3 Knights. 2nd qtr Heard fires it to Kobi Owen who stretches, but doesn’t quite get there. It still led to another Episcopal touchdown to put the Knights up 15-3. Houston Christian stops the bleeding, Shane Johnson goes up top to Christian Clarke who catches it inside the 3 yard line. That set up a touchdown cutting the lead to 15-10. The Knights come right back however, Heard with a quick pass to JT Hildebrand and Hildebrand does the rest. He goes 69 yards for the touchdown extending the lead to 22-10 and Episcopal finishes district play unbeaten, 36-23 is the final. The Knights will play Dallas St. Marks in the opening round of the SPC playoffs next week.
