TAPPS Division 1 6-man state title and Houston's Emery/Weiner took on Veritas Academy out of Austin.
First quarter, Emery Weiner's Bennett Grossman looks left and then throws right to Byron Strug for the touchdown and that puts the Jags up 8-0.
Later first, Grossman to Strug again and Strug would reach the ball over the goal line for the score. Jags were up 30-8 at the half.
More of the same in the 3rd. This time Grossman feels it's better off to use his legs to get the touchdown. He stumbles a bit but manages to score. Emery/Weiner takes the TAPPS title with a 52-22 victory
