Elsik Rams vs. South Houston Trojans - 2014 Football - Week 1

Bill Barron is in his 19th season as the Elsik head coach, and his Rams got the season off on the right foot against South Houston. On the opening kick Charles Dansberry with the 49 yard return to set up an early TD as Elsik goes up 7-0 one minute into the game. Elsik on it’s next possession facing 4th and short, EJ Davis gets the first down and then breaks out of the pack for a whole lot more, the 29 yard run puts Elsik up 14-0. South Houston settles down, Tatum Girny fires it to RJ Maddox for the touchdown to cut the lead to 7 late in the first. 2nd quarter, Elsik on the move, but AJ Dimas steps in the way. That was about the end of the good news for South Houston as Elsik rolls in the 2nd half to a 41-10 victory.
