Eisenhower hitting the road to take on Westfield in a big district showdown…
In the first, Ike’s Vann Johnson tosses the lob pass to Patrick Punch, who lays it in and draws the foul for the Eagles.
Then it’s Johnson with the pressure defense, he gets the steal and he takes it himself, finishing with the nice move for the layup.
Back comes Westfield, Tre Jackson lives up to his name, as he buries the trey to beat the first quarter buzzer for the Mustangs.
More Westfield in the second, Jordon Williams feeds Jalen Francis and and Francis finishes with the fancy reverse layup.
Mustangs in control, Lonzo Rand in heavy traffic, he fights to get the bucket and the foul, Westfield leads by 17 at intermission.
In the third, Rand forces the turnover and heads the other way to throw it down for the one-hand jam.
But Ike rallies back, Johnson with the steal and he goes the distance, laying it in with the left hand, Eagles back within six.
Mustangs run away with it late though, Jackson to Rand on the fast break and Westfield wins it, 66-49 is the final over Eisenhower.
