Dickinson VS Clear Springs - Game of the Week
Let’s head out to Challenger-Columbia Stadium as Dickinson meets Clear Springs in our game of the week…
Early in the first, Dickinson driving and quarterback Mike Welch goes up top to Donovan Green and Green reels it in as he falls into the end zone, 39 yard touchdown and it’s 7-0 Gators.
Later in the first, Welch calls his own number and he plunges across the goalline for a 5 yard score, Dickinson up 14-0 early.
Still in the first, and Welch going back to the air, and look at the adjustment Jathan Caldwell makes to come back to the ball, and takes it the rest of the way, it’s a 54 yard touchdown pass, Gators lead 20-0 after one.
Clear Springs gets on the board in the second as Garrett Rooker fires for Isaiah Bibb, it’s a 10 yard scoring strike that cuts it to 20-7.
Dickinson answers though, Reggie Sanders gets the carry, he has a big hole to run through, and he’s off to the races. He just does get into the end zone, it’s a 65 yard touchdown run and the Gators lead 26-7.
Late in the first half, Rooker looking into the end zone again, this time for Kaleb Hymes, it’s a 20 yard touchdown pass, but Dickinson still leads 26-14 at halftime.
It’s a quiet second half, until Ausaru Allah punches in the game-clinching score for the Gators, as Dickinson stays unbeaten in district play with a 33-17 win over Clear Springs!
