Ask anyone at Clear Lake and they’ll tell you that Damani Maxon is one of the most down to earth and cheerful individuals on campus. But put him on the football field….well….now you got a whole different person.
Unfortunately for the Falcons, that “transformation” was only seen 4 times this year as Damani, a Kansas commit, missed most of the season due to injury. As hard as it was to missed a majority of his senior season, football is only a snapshot of Damani’s interests.
Maxson picked up photography as a freshman and quickly developed a passion for it.
On the field, Maxson is a hard hitting safety that is always in a rush to get to the ball carrier and deliver a blow. But in photography, Damani has tapped into a different side of himself in order to capture the perfect picture.
For every football player, there is an expiration date on their athletic career. Maxson has plenty of years left to dominate on the football field, but he’s at ease knowing that when his days of football are over, he has something else to turn to that he’s just as passionate about.
