4-1 Cy Ridge and 3-3 Cy Creek both ready to do battle…
Cy Creek throws the first punch, Cougars Quarterback Julian Uwadia(Ooh-wah-dee-uh) keeps it on the read option, he makes a man miss, and he takes it 19 yards for the Cy Creek touchdown, it’s 7-0 Cougars.
Later in the first, Uwadia goes to the air and looks for a legend, Legend Grigsby, it’s a 26-yard touchdown pass and Cy Creek leads 14-0 after one.
It’s 21-7 when Cy Ridge responds in the 2nd. Mark Benjamin takes the handoff and lets a hole develop, and then boom, he’s off to the races. Benjamin sprints 56 yards to the house for a Cy Ridge touchdown and the Rams are right back in it, down 21-13.
Cy Creek answers, setting up the screen for Eddie Jimerson. Great one-hand catch to reel it in, and even better blocking downfield in front of him. Jimerson sprints 68 yards down the sideline, you aren’t gonna catch him, Cougars lead 27-13.
Benjamin is just getting started, however. With the Rams backed up deep in their own, he breaks a tackle and he’s gone once again. He races all the way, 95 yards for another Cy Ridge score, and the Rams are within 7 at halftime, trailing 27-20.
In the third, Jimerson takes the handoff, and watch as he fights his way into the end zone, tough running right there for the 7 yard touchdown. It’s 34-20 Cougars.
