Defense was optional as Cy Ranch took on Cy Woods Friday night.
Down 7-0, Cy Woods running back Kyler Singletary takes the handoff and busts up the middle, cuts right and is off to the races. He almost gets caught at the 1, but manages to score the 68 yard touchdown. 7-7.
Still first quarter, Cy Ranch quarterback Owen Cossette with the play action and then finds Tristyn Davis for a 30 yard score on 4th down. Mustangs led 38-21 at the half.
Second half more Cossette. He finds Tracy James in the middle of the field. James does the rest on this 61 yard touchdown. Just over a minute into the 3rd and Mustangs lead 45-21.
Late 3rd, Cy Woods trying anything to keep up.....Quarterback Aiden Horton throws behind the line of scrimmage to Ty Cogdill who throws it back to Horton and Aiden would score a 17 yard touchdown.
But Cy Ranch was a scoring machine Friday night. Cossette threw 8 touchdown passes. This one to Carson Littlefield from 18 yards out. The Mustangs win a scoreboard operators nightmare, 66-41.
