Cy Ranch and Cy Springs met in 16-6A season finale with district crown on the line
Chelsey Singleton for Cy Ranch had a nice night. She gets through the lane for the floater but the Mustangs trailed 22-17 after 3.
Lady Panthers freshman Ayla McDowell stepped up big as she also gets into the paint for the layup. This game would go down to the wire.
17 seconds left, Cy Springs down 2 and all 5 Cy Ranch defenders collapse on McDowell leaving Sian Phipps open for the game tying layup. 30-30.
With 6 seconds left, Singleton again maneuvers at the top of the key and then darts down the lane with another floater to put Cy Ranch up 2.
Time running out, the freshman...McDowell....trying to win it with a 3 at the buzzer.....it's no good and Cy Ranch takes the district with a 32-30 win.
